How to actually measure ROI on your Odoo investment

An Odoo project usually has a clear cost. The benefit, less so. Here are the five numbers we help every client put on a dashboard so the conversation stops being about feelings and starts being about facts.
1. Time saved per process
Pick three core processes, time them before and after, every quarter. Quote-to-cash is a great one. So is month-end close. Multiply by hourly cost and you have a defensible number to put in front of finance.
2. Days sales outstanding
Automated invoicing and reminders almost always knock 5 to 15 days off DSO. That is real cash flow. Pull it from Odoo Accounting and trend it monthly.
3. Inventory accuracy
Compare physical counts to system counts each quarter. Going from 85% to 98% accuracy unlocks tighter purchasing, less safety stock, and fewer angry customer service calls.
4. Quote-to-order conversion
Once your sales team works inside one system, response time drops and conversion follows. We typically see 8 to 15 percent uplift in the first six months.
5. Tools and licences retired
List every SaaS subscription Odoo replaces, with annual cost. Even mid-size companies often retire 6 to 12 tools. The number adds up fast.
The dashboard
We build all of these in Odoo Spreadsheets and pin it for the leadership team. Numbers in one place, refreshed live. That is when ROI stops being a line in a deck and becomes a habit.
