Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Garba Partner is for adults aged 18 and above. We prohibit any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children, including:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form;
- grooming, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes;
- sexualised content involving minors, including drawings or edited images;
- sextortion, trafficking or any other exploitation of children.
Accounts involved are removed permanently, and we report them to the authorities.
How we keep the app adult-only and safe
- 18+ only. Every user confirms they are 18 or older, and year of birth must show an age of 18 or more. Accounts that appear to belong to a minor are removed.
- Phone verification. Every account is tied to a verified mobile number.
- Photo screening. Every photo is checked automatically for nudity and sexual content before anyone else can see it. Photos that fail are deleted.
- Text only. Chat is text only, with a clean-language filter. Photos, videos and files cannot be sent in chat.
- Blocking and "women only". Anyone can block another user instantly. Users can choose to receive requests only from women.
Reporting inside the app
On any profile or chat, open the menu and choose Report person or Report this photo. The reason "Seems under 18" is available for reports about age. Reporting a person also blocks them straight away. A photo reported by two different people is hidden automatically until we review it.
How we respond
- We review reports every day, and more often during Navratri.
- Reports involving minors or sexual content are handled first, within 24 hours.
- We remove the content and the account, and keep the relevant records only as long as the authorities need them.
- We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities in India, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, and to other authorities as required by law.
Laws we comply with
We comply with applicable child safety laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
Report a concern
